Change Is Life
Nothing that is alive remains the same forever. There will always be growth, trials, and healing.
Even though many people fear or hate change, it is the very essence of life. With that thought in mind, the time has come for me to make a significant change in my own life. I am leaving my home state of Kentucky and am moving to Texas!
You’ve probably heard the old saying that says, “No matter where you go, there you are.” The meaning of that is pretty clear. It doesn’t matter where you are or where you go, you will be the same person. However, there are times in which making a geographical change, such I am about to make, is a necessary one for personal growth. So long as you are self-aware and know exactly why you are doing it. 2018 was a year of serious transformation for me, and the path I have been walking has led me to the point where I must step out into the unfamiliar. I need to do this, or risk becoming stagnant. By late summer of last year I began to recognize this, and began to prepare myself for whatever came next. I have been working as an auto mechanic, Monday-Friday, for eleven hours a day. It has been exhausting work, but has helped me get ready financially.
The thing with dreams is that if you don’t take action toward them, implement a plan, they will end up on the list of things you wish you had done. I have no intention of ever having to deal with that kind of regret. I have been laser focused for more than twelve months. I have lived alone, not dated any one, have not spent money on anything other than food, transportation, and a place to live. I have not gone out, drank or gone to the movies. Now, all of that may sound boring as hell, but when you are committed to your mission you don’t view it that way. This is something I deeply desired to do, so doing whatever it has taken to make it possible has not been a drudgery, but rather phase 1 of my adventure,
The time is close, and I have never been more ready.
