"Be the difference you want to see in the world"

Mahatma Ghandi

There are a many ways you can make a difference in the world, and one that holds a special place in my heart is Encouragement.  This beautiful act has, many times, put me back on my feet and kept me going.

Have you ever wanted to give up?  Have you ever doubted yourself and your abilities?  Have you ever felt your dreams were not ever going to come true?  Have you ever been feeling all of these things when someone came along and encouraged you in some way, and all of those bad feelings fell away and were replaced by renewed vigor, motivation and excitement?  If you answered "Yes" then you know how powerful encouragement can be!

"You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, applaud their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits.  When we all help one another, everybody wins." – Jim Stovall

Win Win!

Encouraging others can help them perform better and inspire hope as well.  Just knowing that another believes in you can have an enormous effect on your self-confidence and motivation.

Another wonderful thing about Encouragement is that, when you encourage someone, it has a dual effect.  It not only benefits the one receiving the encouragement but it also benefits the one giving the encouragement!  The encourager becomes encouraged, and because of the "ripple effect", it just keeps on going.

Keep it Real

There are so many ways you can encourage another.  You can show a genuine interest in what they're involved in, offer them a helping hand, or compliment their efforts.  Even saying "Thank You" to someone shows that you appreciate them and what they've done and that is very encouraging!

Remember, when you are offering encouragement to someone be sure it is sincere, honest and meaningful.  In other words, keep it real man!  🙂

Everyone Needs Somebody Sometime

No matter how skilled or talented a person is, no one ever achieves success alone.  No matter how strong a person is, there will come a time when life gets intensely challenging, and they will need someone to encourage them.  At one time or another, everyone needs a helping hand.  Today I challenge you to be that helping hand for someone.

In what way has someone encouraged you at a time you really needed it?  What are some ways that you encourage others?
